| Blue Lines, No. 23 |
"Tonopah,
NV" (version one) has been donated to the Kansas City Artists Coalition auction this year. The painting is one
work in an ongoing body that is based on the sites and experiences that Lori collected on a trip west which included a 4-day
stayover in Yosemite National Park. Tonopah took the prize for the strangest, actually most eery town driven through.
A mining town, Tonopah feels mostly abandoned except for a motel and some strip casinos on the edge of town. But in
the center of town rises a turn-of-the-century hotel, built of stone and brick and displaying the name MIZPAH HOTEL on
its rooftop.

Lori created 25 individual and unique flag paintings, each to be
given to table sponsors at a fundraiser in 2008 for the Kansas City chapter of the ACLU. A party was held at Stuff give the members a sneak preview of the work. The paintings were
displayed together during the event and were later delivered to their new homes.

In the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City lives the Moonliner
atop the old TWA Headquarters which was renovated by ElDorado Architects.
Viewing the Moonliner from the south looking north up Baltimore at
18th Street you can also see the Power and Light Building. This painting was completed in 2008.
